Analysis, assessment and mapping of chemical mixture risks/footprints in countries of the Global South and on a planetary scale

While there are increasing data on chemical mixtures in European water bodies, consistent data on chemical pollution in many countries of the Global South and on a global scale are extremely scarce. Thus, we established the Global Chemical Monitoring (GloCheM) network involving enthusiastic scientists from all continents to join forces and close existing data and knowledge gaps, and to improve chemical monitoring on a global scale. To facilitate the implementation of global sampling campaigns we contribute to the development of new sampling tools for easy and cost-effective water sampling.
