The description has changed. _________________________________________________________ Supply and Installation of a Bench-scale Anaerobic Bioreactor System The system will be used for mixed culture fermentation for medium-chain fatty acid (MCFA) production at bench scale. The Purchaser seeks a fully integrated bioreactor package suitable for anaerobic operation with automated control and data logging. Quantity: one complete bioreactor system.
Minimum technical requirements Each bioreactor needs to meet the mandatory technical requirements a) Working volume between 1-4 L b) Anaerobic capability with gas-tight construction and ports for O2/Air/N2/CO2 purging and mass flow controller controlled: : Four dedicated MFC channels are not required. At least two independently controllable mass flow controllers (MFCs) shall be included. Selectable or recalibratable gas assignment is acceptable. No fixed MFC flow range is prescribed; the bidder shall propose flow ranges suitable for the offered vessel size and intended anaerobic digestion and mixed-culture fermentation applications c) Glass with headplate including ports for gas, liquid feed/effluent, and sensors d) Agitation: Motor-driven stirrer (at least between 10–1500 rpm) with adjustable speed and impeller suitable for anaerobic mixing e) Temperature sensor and control: Integrated heater/cooling with at least range 20–60 °C, ±0.1 °C precision f) Pumps: At least four peristaltic or equivalent pumps for feed, acid/base addition, and effluent control with variable speed, with the maximum flow rate of at least 20 mL/min g) pH sensor with calibration accessories and automatic pH control with the pH range of at least 5 and 9, and resolution of at least 0.1 h) Dissolved oxygen (DO) sensor with the DO sensor has at least between 0 to 5% air saturation i) Foam sensor with option for automatic dosing of anti-foam agent: A single sensor or separate sensors are acceptable, and the sensing technology may be internal, external or non-invasive, provided that reliable automatic foam detection/control is achieved. The automatic antifoam dosing option shall include the required dosing pump and control functionality. j) Automatic level sensor and control: The level function may be implemented using the same sensor as the foam function or by a separate sensor, provided that reliable operation is achieved. k) Integrated controller supporting PID control for temperature, pH, and agitation l) Remote access or web-based interface m) Windows based Software for real-time monitoring and data logging (CSV/XLS or other open format export) with permanent license without extra costs n) Warranty min. 12 months evaluation 75 % Price - the lowest price gets 75 points, the other bidder’s price gets the points proportionally The price includes: (Points = lowest bid price / bid price × 75) • the bioreactor • software (permanent license) • Delivery place of use, installation (04318 Leipzig) • PC/workstation and monitor or tablet, where offered for hardware points (must be included in the evaluated offer price to receive points) • A warranty of at least 24 months, where offered for warranty points (must be included in the evaluated offer price to receive points)

Total 25 points Technical evidence Compliance and scoring shall be supported by the manufacturer's published technical specifications or equivalent technical documentation. Manufacturer datasheets and, where available, factory calibration certificates are acceptable. Separate third-party calibration certificates are not required at the tender stage. For the DO sensor, the mandatory requirement concerns the capability to measure in the range of 0-5% air saturation. DO accuracy and detection limit remain award criteria and will be evaluated according to the published scoring thresholds using values stated in the submitted manufacturer documentation.

As a public contracting authority, the UFZ is obliged to comply with the E-Invoice Ordinance (ERechV). In accordance with § 3 (1) ERechV, invoices with a total order value of 1,000.00 EUR net or more must be sent in ZUGFeRD format (from version 2.0) or X-Invoice format to the e-mail address invoice@ufz.de.
